“When I learned that a prayer walk was being planned by Gary Barnes for a group of participants of the 2004 Lausanne Forum in Pattaya,
Thailand, I asked if my assistant and I could go along. Little did I anticipate all that we would encounter.
As we saw the women in the “Red Light District” suggestively dressed and aggressively seeking a male companion, our hearts were touched. One young girl begged a woman in our group to adopt her and take her back to the US. You cannot help but weep when you see very young girls dressed as cheerleaders selling
their bodies. We saw grandmothers coming to pick these girls up in the wee hours and were told that many of these girls are the major source of income for their families.
Javonda and Gary Barnes have such hearts for the unreached people of the world. Certainly these prostitutes are in that category. Gary gave one of the messages at the Forum helping participants
like me to be more aware of the opportunities for evangelism in different parts of the world. May God bless Gary and World Changers in this exciting ministry. They deserve the support and encouragement to stay in the battle long-term."
